VISION 2024

SUMMARY

2023 was the most colourful year we have had as we supported over 350 persons. Most of who were orphans, widows, elderly, war victims and families in abject poverty. From food to clothes, scholarship etc we made sure they got to feel and experience Gods love even as we preached to them. All this is thanks to the continues support of a few who decided to partner with SGIF.

Each year has been better than the previous and we do not only plan to keep this pattern but to make major changes in 2024 to secure results that could rival our entire success this far.

WHAT WE PLAN

Below, we out line detailly our goals and programs planned to host in 2024. Before now, most of the support we have given the needy are one time support. Such as food, clothes, scholarship, capital for petty business etc. In 2024, in as much as we will continue this, we want to give more sustainable support to;

• Selected orphanages,

• Kids who are bright but can’t afford basic education,

• Hard working/ talented needy people without opportunities,

• Physically challenged or crisis victims etc.

1)  Orphanage Support:

Based on our observations in the last 5 years with a few orphanages, we will select 3 orphanages to supply them with FOOD, CLOTHES and BASICS on a regular basis.

Selection will be based on Transparency, Commitment to the orphan’s interest, and Limited Funding.

2)  ReachOuts:

We plan 4 regular ReachOuts this year. Targeting;

• 1 elderly home (our first ever),

• 2 other first-time orphanages,

• Widows ReachOut,

• And few random poor people within the community who live in abject poverty. We will also be using these avenues for Evangelism.

3)  Back to School 2024:

In the past, we have come across many brilliant kids who can’t afford education, talented people without anyone to sponsor or guide them. Its our goal offer long term support of the following nature;

• 10 primary school kids we will sponsor through primary school,

• 5 Secondary students and,

• 20 random Scholarships to kids in need during the September 2024/2025 academic school year.

4)  Street Feeding:

For the 1st time, we want to organise a street evangelism campaign targeting homeless people. Who will be given food. During which we will have a team within the people, preaching and ministering to them one on one. We will also have gospel pamphlets and books shared. God has been speaking to us in this direction and that’s what we will be doing.

OUR COMMITMENT

We are personally doubling or effort and commitments to effectively achieve this. Our immediate team (from the president down) is involved at every single level per event.

Every gift must get to the intended persons and for the intended purpose just like we have done through the years.

HOW CAN YOU BE A PART

The budget to achieve this is huge. This is why we build a monthly recurrent partnership program with a goal to raise $1000 - $1500/month. It may seem an impossible task for many at an individual level but together we CAN. And the beauty is, the burden per person is greatly reduces. How can be a part by;

-        By inviting family, friends, colleagues etc, to Join the Partnership Program, you not only make this a reality but reduce the weight per person. The greater our numbers, the less weight per person.

CONCLUSION

If there is one thing we have gained through years of working with the needy it’s this, many believers within this community live a life of compromise because of the situations around them. Many unbelievers are blinded from seeing the love and mercy of God by due to their circumstances. It could be easy to judge them but being in that shoe is whole different thing.

In reaching out to them, you not only extend God’s love towards them, or give hope. You are giving them a chance to choose free from the grasp of the devil. Showing them that God is, granting them a chance to also receive the life of Christ.
